![]() ![]() Regular ocean views are nice, but not worth the $ IMO, but I know that the view is more of a draw for some people. Ocean views from the room don't interest us ( i get that for free from my beach lounger), But if you want an ocean view, SCC has some categories that have to die for views, but they are pricey, they are called ocean "front". SRB bathtubs in all rooms, SCC, only in the full suite category. Pro of that is that you can float right off shore in the ocean on your raft easily. Very calm, so if you plan on listening to the surf, ain't gonna happen at SCC. You can go yards, and yard, and yards out and only stlil be up to your waist. SCC, ocean is calmer, and shallower going way out. We aren't really the type of people who need to be doted on anyways. Everyone says the "service" is better at SCC, but that doesn't make the service bad SRB. I can get SRB for about $50 less a night for the same type room. It wasn't an option on when I booked, but now it is. Svmdodson, have you been yet? Which did you decide on?Ĭurrently booked at SCC myself, but I'm on the fence rethinking SRB. You just need your own transportation.ĭo you know which room category you would like? I think the swimouts are much better at SCC vs SRB.I have stayed in a swimout twice at SCC and that was the room category I was supposed to have at SRB. ![]() You can pretty much go to any AM Resort for a complimentary visit. However, Secrets guests have access to the Sip, Savor, and See program. This gives you more access to entertainment, socializing, and dining options. The pros of SRB are that it is livelier than SCC (if that's what you want) and you have access to Dreams Royal Beach next door. If I don't make it to Indonesia this summer, I'm seriously contemplating a split stay with the two resorts instead. I'm definitely am curious about comparing the two for myself, especially since the million-dollar refresher. I stayed away from SRB in the past as I was afraid that I would be disappointed and underwhelmed due to my fantastic SCC experiences. The consensus was that the beach is better, the service is phenomenal (vs very good with SRB), and the food was better. SRB has just gone through a multi-million dollar renovationįor the people that I have directly spoken to who have been to both before the renovation and after, they still prefer SCC. Juanillo/Cap Cana is quieter too and not packed with people like the Bavaro beach (Some might like the hustle and bustle on the beach, but I prefer the quiet and peace) I feel that the sand is lighter in feel too. The resorts are in a gated community, so there isn't public access. No vendors hassling you on the beach every minute as you are trying to relax. ![]() You can go all the way out with the water up to your chest. I used to frequent the Bavaro area regularly and then I stayed at Secrets Cap Cana. I prefer the Cap Cana/Juanillo Beach area to the Bavaro Beach area. I wound up staying 8 nights at SCC in Aug 2020. I was supposed to go to SRB for the new refresh, but it didn't open in time. SCC is the superior resort. It really just is, lol. I haven't been to SRB yet, but I have been to SCC 3 times. That beach pales in comparison to SRB and SCC. If you are all about the beach, I would take off Secrets in Jamaica. ![]()
